A great product ruined by shoddy workmanship.
I have bought several of these over the past few months. We love them; they are lightweight, comfortable and provide a great deal of light. They are awesome for working on engines, under cars, in crawl spaces or any other situation where space is tight and you need both hands free. However, 3 of the 4 I ordered are now having issues that make them problematic, if not impossible, to use. The problems are power buttons ceasing to work (can’t turn them on), and shorts in the wiring causing them to fail at the most inopportune moments. Considering that we’ve not had them very long and been quite careful with them, this should not have happened. I contacted the company about my concerns and their reply was that they were sorry and they would “try to get the supplier to give this item a longer lifetime, but cannot promise that it will work” and hope that I understand. I was going to order more of these, but now I won’t, since they obviously DON’T stand behind their product. They seem like a good buy, at first glance, but not if they have to be replaced every couple of months. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend them unless you are willing and prepared to replace them on a regular basis.
